I recently took a trip to Bristol for the first time to visit a friend who is studying there, and I have instantly fallen in love with the place - mainly due to its vast array of street art on display everywhere you turn. I have had an interest in street art/graffiti for a long time, with Mr Penfold to name one practitioner who has been a major inspiration to my practice, and I recognise many of these artists and their works. What draws me to street art is often the scale and precision to which artists work and often how cleaver the pieces are. I would love to get into street art - having never even dabbled and despite having a major influence in terms of what inspires me - i have no idea how to even begin down this path. I need to research into this more as a possible avenue for my own personal practice as I would be so proud of myself if I was able to achieve work even remotely like the work on display here. Enjoy!
